• Redemption07 was a blast. hooked up with a few people I recognised from two years ago. Didn't have so many late nights but still enjoyed myself. I entered two of Eclectic 21's wall competions, and was chuffed to win the Caption one. I chose PK Dick's "do android's dream of electric sheep?"aka Bladerunner. Went to fanfic stuff and helped create/produce a zine over the weekend.Went to lots of panels and quizzes and generally had fun.

Blinks in amazement...

• I managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat for the RedemptionCon fic Competition. Drum roll for my first Babylon 5 fic "It's always dark in space..."! It came in at c2,500 words, and although I sent it in- I think it could be better- I left it too close to the deadline and it was a rush job. And until I have a moment to come up with a Bab5 page I'm not putting it up on the site yet. Plus I want to wait and see if anything happens at Redemption in 10 days time.
• The Mag7 fic is at 10,700 words so far- it's a biggie....

Okay, so it's a little late to wish y'all a Happy New Year, but I'll say it anyway.

• The Jackfic-a-thon seems to have died a premature death but I am hopeful that CPR will give it new life when I have a moment to spare.
• I offered to write a Birthday fic on the Mag7 list and that's currently at 8,500 words and I'm sure it'll be ready for posting soon- and I got an authors info bit on the Birthday site- how cool is that?
• Still vaguely hopeful of turning out something Bab5 ish for RedemptionCon in 19 days time. If not then,- there's going to be a baby zine produced during the con.
• And I still have my Sen dues just before the con on 23-25th Feb. So not alot going on really.
• and no I haven't done any more to the WIP fics- sorry, although uplaoding them and some older fic to ff.net seems to have sparked some new interest [Roo1965].
• oh and I'm doing 2 evening classes as well at present.
• But hey I did have a grand weekend in York recently with some friends.

Haven't done much more writing lately, other than futzing with a few Stargate Jack plot bunnies and not getting very far with them. Also, foolishly I signed up for the Jackfic-a-thon (Stargate SG1) and got donated a plot bunny and have to write that by the end of November. So far i haven't written a word....EEEK. When that's done it can't go up until March 07.

Part of the reason i hadn't done much writing was going to a few cons- GateconUK, in Cheltenham. Which was fun and something slightly different- especially the GOH's running the auctions.... And Discworld in Hinckley, honouring the work and world of Terry Pratchett- way too much fun!
